Heinrich Holds Off Harvey to Take Victory in Thrilling Saturday Showdown

Joel Heinrich delivered a commanding performance for Osborn's Transport to clinch victory in a thrilling and closely contested race. Driving the #1 Mustang, Heinrich also clocked the fastest lap of the race on lap 19 with an impressive 1:02.9469, underlining his dominance in the closing stages.

Hot on his heels was local favourite Mason Harvey in the #54 Mustang for Corish Motorsports. Harvey crossed the line just over five seconds behind Heinrich, Rounding out the podium was rookie sensation Caleb Paterson. Paterson got an incredible start to take the initial lead from Heinrich and fought hard throughout the race as the top four battled it out.

Kody Garland took fourth place after a recovery extremely well from a mid race spin, while Diesel Thomas rounded up the top five for TFH Racing.

The midfield battle was just as intense, with Scott O’Keefe, Brandon Madden, Josh Thomas, and Scott Andriske finishing within a second of each other in positions six through nine. Ryan Reynolds completed the top ten, showcasing strong pace in the #9 Mustang.

Sunday will see the Battery World Aussie Racing Cars circus battle it out in two races, with Sunday's opener being a reverse top eight.
