Scott Andriske takes pole at Symmons Plains

TFH Racing’s Scott Andriske has beat the title contenders to pole position for the opening Battery World Aussie Racing Cars Series presented by TFH Hire race at Symmons Plains, Tasmania.

In a close qualifying session, Andriske set his fastest lap early at a 1m 00.529s and this proved enough to hold onto pole position by the end of the 20-minute session.

Andriske will share the front-row with title contender Kody Garland after the MTA NSW-supported driver fell 0.173s short of the benchmark time.

Corish Motorsport’s Mason Harvey backed up his pace in the earlier practice session to finish third from reigning series winner Joel Heinrich for Osborn’s Transport.

Row three is an all-Norganic Proteins Australia affair as Rookie Cup leader Caleb Paterson lines up alongside teammate and Masters Cup pole-sitter Kent Quinn.

Des Collier in the second TFH Racing entry will start seventh from Racer Industries/Motorsport25’s Reece Chapman, the lead Johnston Craill Racing Enterprises Mustang of Asher Johnston and Andrew Corish for Corish Motorsports completed the top 10.

Paterson continued to lead Kyle Lovering and debutant Kim Andersen in the third Johnston Craill Racing Enterprises Mustang in Rookie Cup.

Likewise, Quinn bettered Johnston and Cody Mckay in Masters Cup, with Scott Dornan continuing to lead Gold Cup from Joseph Andriske and David Makin.

Now the grid is set, racing begins for the Battery World Aussie Racing Cars Series presented by TFH Hire tomorrow at 8:00am tomorrow kicking off Kayo’s broadcast of the Snowy River Caravans 440.
