Multiple Battery World Aussie Racing Cars Super Series winner James Duckworth joins Adelaide finale

Two-time winner of the Battery World Aussie Racing Cars Super Series James Duckworth will join the field for the final race of the weekend in Adelaide.

A champion of the class in 2016 and 2017, Duckworth will take over the O’Keefe Motorsports/Multiservice Solutions Nissan Altima driven so far this weekend by Scott O’Keefe.

What started off as a joke after Race 3 to install Duckworth became reality in a matter of moments as he will return to the category for the first time since his last title success in 2017.

“Scotty O’Keefe was a point where he doesn’t want to do race4 and I made the joke that I’d race it for the first time in seven years,” said Duckworth.

“It was pretty much a tongue in cheek joke, which pretty much from there.

“The last time I raced one was in 2017 when I won it the second time and there is no expectations, just treat it as a practice session passing cars.”

The fourth and final race for the Battery World Aussie Racing Cars Super Series is at 11:30am ACDT.
