The 2018 Aussie Racing Cars champion Joel Heinrich took the round win over the weekend at The Bend Motorsport Park, but he didn't have it all his own way, tough racing at the top of the field saw Justin Ruggier fire the first shot with pole on Friday afternoon, and a win in the last race on Sunday, Kel Treseder also took a win with Heinrich winning the other two races.  Stand out for the weekend was Luke Fraser who had 3 third spots and a 6th which was enough for 3rd outright, Ruggier was second for the weekend. Aussie Racing Cars are proud to announce the Paul Morris Motorsports Driver Development Award this weekend at the Fourth Round of the 2019 Championships at Queensland Raceway. "In our 20th year its fantastic to have the support from Paul Morris Motorsport, Paul has raced with us a number of times over the years himself, but he's also put some young drivers in our cars and its great to see these drivers step to the likes of Supercars," said Brad Ward Aussie Racing Cars category manager. Round three of the 2019 Aussie Racing Cars, the Drive the NT Aussie Race Car Challenge has seen the series leader Justin Ruggier extend his lead even more winning all three rounds so far. Out of the box Ruggier was going to be tough to beat, he was fastest in Friday's practice, then took pole with 3 wins out of 4 races, and second in the last. There was a bevy of other drivers trying to knock him off his perch, Paul Morris, Kel Treseder, Joel Heinrich, Blake Sciberras, Daniel Price all took turns at the lead over the course of the weekend.  The only other driver to win was Treseder who won the final race of the weekend, leading from lights out to flag fall. …

Round Two Tasmania SuperSprint

THE CURTAIN has closed on one of the best weekends of Aussie Racing Cars racing, round two the Tasmanian SuperSprint at Symmons Plains Raceway provided some of the best racing ever seen by the class in its 20 years. Western Sydney Motorsport were the form team with Justin Ruggier taking the overall spoils for the race meeting and Super2 ace Bryce Fullwood coming third, team owner Craig Thompson also won the Gold Cup. They didn't have it all their own way however, right through all four races there was a bevy of drivers vying for the top spots, Sean Rose Motorsports class acts were Daniel Price who put his Camaro on pole in qualifying, and Adam Uebergang who was second for the round overall. One of the Aussie Racing Cars "colourful characters" joins us once again, the gentle giant that is Adam Uebergang is set to join the class at next weekend's second round down in Tasmania. Uebergang last ran with the Aussie Cars at our final round of the 2018 Championship on the Gold Coast where he finished 5th for the weekend in his Uebergang Transport Camaro.  Although for the past couple of seasons he's been unable to do the whole year, he has chosen the long distance events (travel wise) to run in, Adam ran last year at the Darwin special invitation round. Our 2018 Champion Joel Heinrich will join the field at the second round of the 2019 Championship, Heinrich used his couple of years in the Aussie Cars to step up to the Supercars Super2 series, the second tier to the main game for 2019. Aussie Racing Cars is proud to confirm that its electric 2 seater ride car dubbed the Aus E Car has successfully completed its first track test after 12 months of development.  ARC Engineer James Ward completed about 30 laps in the car at Norwell Motorplex yesterday afternoon confirming that the car is now ready for its official launch at the Adelaide 500 Supercars Event. “Aus E Car was unbelievable to drive, its crazy fast and super quite.  Reaching around 190kph on the small Norwell circuit was an absolute buzz.  The car handles a bit different to the conventional single seater ARC cars as it’s slightly wider and heavier due to the batteries but still drives really well.  I can’t wait to unleash it on the…


 In its 20th year, Aussie Racing Cars (ARC) is proud to welcome back to the grid, ARC founder, Phil Ward as he celebrates 50th years of participation in Australian Motorsport. The category was invented and developed by race driver and engineer Phil Ward with the first car being rolled out of his workshop in 1997.  The cars were all hand built by Ward and the chassis and suspension design was tested over many track sessions at Ward’s monthly corporate Kart day’s called Kart Blanche which were run at Sydney’s Oran Park Raceway.  The first cars were sold to corporate karting guests at Kart Blanche long before CAMS sanction and long before the a national series for the cars was initiated.  From then on the category…
