Race Two Report

In stark contrast to today’s first race Adam Gowans romped away with the win with an impressive gap to second placed Adam Uebergang of over 4 seconds.  Gowans launched off the line quicker than Uebergang and continued to extend his lead.  Uebergang had to battle for second place from Darren Chamberlin, Brendon Pingel and Adrian Flack with the foursome swapping positions lap after lap, Tony Quinn latched onto the group too, to finish up sixth.

New comer Myles Bond had another eventful race, his door flew open mid race and stayed that way before someone managed to rip it off, he finished the race in a credible 17th spot minus one door!

At the flag fall the Tassie crowd had a huge cheer for the local ARC hero, and this continued for the rest of the drivers too, whom had all again put in some fantastic close racing.

The final day of racing tomorrow sees the Aussie Racing Cars have two more races, race three at 10.50am local time is a full reverse grid, handicap race, and this will once again put the preverbal Aussie cat amongst the pigeons – BRING IT ON WE SAY!  And the final race for the weekend is at 1.00pm.
